Mass Effect approaches

Max informed us that Microsoft has sent him Mass Effect, the one with an alien lesbian scene. Yay. But the game is actually said to be very good! Max also traded in some old games to get Burnout Paradise reserved. He would have liked to have gotten it through LionGames, but he doesn't like paying to ship his pre-owned games, but that's because he's poor!

For his birthday, I think he's contemplating getting the LionGames Roaring Discount Card. What it does is gets you a 10% discount off new game prices for one full year from date of purchase. So that's like buying a used game at Gamestop without your card, but it's not a used game- it's a NEW GAME from LionGames! That rocks the fat ass!

But.. Gamestop does have a "Buy Bioshock get The Darkness free!" promo going on until February 3rd... Max pointed that out to the clerk at GameStop, and the clerk said "Oh, I guess we are.."

Quick Opinion: Viva Pinata- Party Animals XBox 360

Viva Pinata: Party Animals just arrived in the Home Office in Fragville Junction, NY. It looks nice, isn't overly bad, and is definitly a family game. Some of the controls are weird in the minigames, and take time to get used to.

After 2 hours of play, Max picked up 300+ Gamerpoints, so, needless to say, many achievements are of the "You hit the 'A' button!" variety (the classic gaming code, the Konami Contra code, is listed as an achievement, and is printed on pages in the instrucion manual if you're too young to know. yeah, I know.)


*The Spongebob Squarepants review has gone under the knife, and a rough cut will be posted soon! The video quality will be upped also, we are attempting direct feed of gameplay into the Jesus Computer in Fortress Knarf.

New to the Collection!

Some new titles are coming to the desks of the Team Pencil: Viva Pinata- Party Animals, Burnout Paradise, Mass Effect, Halo 2 GFW, and several emulators (from GBC to Nintendo^64) with hundreds of ROMs. Needless to say, gaming has been busy..

Also, there is a video floating around that will be posted this week (Week Containing January 10th, 2007), and if we can get it done, there will be 2
two videos.. The Pencil Casts of Feeding Frenzy and Spongebob Underpants Slam! will be up on youtube.com/MaxPencil ASAP!

The Break is Over!

The Winter Holiday break is over, and we're all back to pounding buttons and editing software, and Pencil is lurking...! Knarf grabbed 5 gigs of emulators and ROMs that will be perused when Max's new computer arrives sometime in January. Meanwhile, Max will have to be content with the Burnout: Paradise demo, Arkadian Warriors, and, of course, Spongebob Squarepants Underpants Slam!

Yep. Underpants slam, that's not a typo....
